@inlandtiapan (Ben) taking a nice fallow after a long wait it scorching hot weather for him to stand up for a shot. We managed to snap just a handful of photos before the clap of thunder and the heavens opened drenching us in a tropical type rainstorm. Having taken a nealy 1000lb Elk the day before right down in a steep gut and having to preform a session of “bush butchery” to be able to carry it out in pieces, it was a welcome relief to have this guy drop right on the ATV track. At only around 1/3 the weight of the Elk we probably didn’t quite do the maths right on that hunt….. 🤣 would have been a lot better round the other way but hey, that’s hunting for ya. . . . . . #phew #fallow #fallowdeer #fallowbuck #hunt #hunting #huntingseason #huntingnz #nzhunting #beauty #beautiful #beautifulbuck #stunningbuck #velvetbuck #earlyseason #rain #raining

Doug and Dede with guide @brentonelliott looking pretty pleased with the result of our “back and forth” stalk we had to put on this beast of a Red.
